International Student Visa Enrolments

Overseas students area those who do not hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship and have not been granted Permanent Residence status in Australia. You may only enter and remain in Australia as an overseas student if you hold a valid student visa. The Commonwealth Government’s Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) requires all overseas students to study full time.
Overseas students intending to undertake study should note that:
- payment of tuition fees must be made in advance, together with the completion of all necessary documentation required by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).
- The English standard needed is an IELTS score with an average across all bands of at least 7.0 with no band under 6.5. (The requirement for undergraduates is an average across all bands of at least 6.5 with no band under 6.0.)

If a student fails to satisfy course requirements, the UFT must report this to the Dept of Immigration and Citizenship Affairs. This is a legal requirement, and no exceptions can be made. Students must also inform the UFT of any change to their contact details.

In cases of withdrawal, refund of fees for International students will be paid to the person who originally paid the course fees.
