 Overseas students area those who do not hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship and have not been granted Permanent Residence status in Australia. You may only enter and remain in Australia as an overseas student if you hold a valid student visa. The Commonwealth Government’s Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) requires all overseas students to study full time.

If a student fails to satisfy course requirements, the UFT must report this to the Dept of Immigration and Citizenship Affairs. This is a legal requirement, and no exceptions can be made. Students must also inform the UFT of any change to their contact details.

Students are alsostrongly advised to view the Immigration Department’s web site: http://www.immi.gov.au.

In cases of withdrawal, refund of fees for International students will be paid to the person who originally paid the course fees.

The processes of application and obtaining a student visa can take considerable time. The first step is to make contact with the UFT Dean.
