Study Skills
New Students: Is it a long time since you did any formal study? Are you nervous about starting theological study?
Returning students: Did you find study last year difficult? Do you want to improve your grades?
A one-day STUDY SKILLS course will be held for UFT students at the beginning of the academic year. A series of workshops will be taken by experienced staff from the Language and Learning Skills Unit of the University of Melbourne.
Thursday 21 February 9.30 am – 3.00 pm
Centre for Theology and Ministry
1 Morrison Close,Parkville
This course is free for all enrolled UFT students.
It is optional, but new students are strongly encouraged to attend and returning students are welcome to do so.
All students must register for the course, either at the time of enrolment or by email.
Registrations will close on 14 February.
The maximum number of students is thirty.
Workshop topics:
- Learning styles and active learning
- Effective reading and notetaking
- Planning and writing successful essays
- How to avoid plagiarism and reference your work properly
Bring your own lunch or buy it at the café in the CTM.
